MILKSHAKE GIRLS

Inspired by true events, Milkshake Girls  is an 18-minute short film that tells the story of teen cousins, Jess and Stella, who are talent scouted outside of a milkshake store, only to quickly find themselves enslaved in the illicit underground world of sex trafficking.

Presented by Awareness is Power and sponsored by Together1Heart, Milkshake Girls is an exposé into the youth sex trafficking epidemic in the United States. The film won Best Director and Best Short Film at the London Independent Film Awards (2019), was shortlisted for Sundance Film Festival (2019), was in the Official Selection at LA International Short Film Festival (2019, Oscar and BAFTA qualifying), Madrid International Film Festival (won Best Supporting Actor, 2019), and selected for Competition at Cardiff International Film Festival (2019).
